Leland Plantaget
"Well that wasn't a very tough decision"
Notes for the Arist
You can choose to draw him with either the scarf or the tie (or both). I don't really have a preference for either. There are also two different versions of him: one where he has an eyepatch, one where he doesn't. Also, feel free to design your own tie/scarf, but I'd like to keep the suit.
Character Details
Name: Leland Plantaget
Age: 17
Sex: Male
Ethnicity: English
Place of Origin: Bristol
Personality: Unlike other kids around his (physical) age, Leland isn't the type to run around and play. Instead, Leland is very calm and tends to hang in the background where he immerses himself in the world of fiction and imagination. He likes to read these stories and predict what happens next, usually reading mysteries such as Sherlock Holmes. He is quite polite and mild mannered to those he meets and often adults will compliment his upbringing, saying how great of a mother he must have (to which he beams with pride).
He feels a certain superiority over other dolls and even other children as well because of Scarlet's favoritism and retention of him as opposed to releasing him into the wild. On the other hand, because he feels superior to the other dolls he also feels a compulsion in order to please his mother and protect her, even refusing tune ups or repairs if he feels that it will hold up Scarlet's time.
Though partially due to Scarlet's own frivolities, Leland has a penchant for stripes, particularly for scarves which he alternates between everyday. He also enjoys reading and has become quite erudite, something left over from his past life. He is often the one who Scarlet turns to when telling her stories or giving them up for critique. That said, if he doesn't like a story's ending he will not hesitate to rewrite it (right on the book) and believe it to be the "true" ending.
